From His Hands is a Christian Ministry made up of churches and other caring groups in our community that serves meals to those in need in the Williamsburg & James City County area.

From His Hands (FHH) is an all volunteer, Christian ministry with a Leadership Committee that oversees operations. FHH is funded solely by donations from churches, individuals, and other organizations.

The purpose of From His Hands is to serve hot, nutritious meals to the hungry and homeless living in local motels and residents in the Grove Community of Greater Williamsburg.

A person is considered homeless if he/she lacks a fixed, regular night-time address. Persons living in motels or shelters are considered homeless. FHH serves the hungry and homeless with care, compassion, and without judgement. FHH is a community effort comprised of churches, businesses, and individuals.

What We Do

Prepare and deliver hot, homemade meals to 50 families in need at the Grove Christian Outreach Center.

Pick up donated bread and pastries from Panera Bread LIghtfoot.

Distribute Panera Bread donations to our clients residing in motels.

Prepare and deliver hot, homemade meals and leave behind bags to our clients residing in local motels.

Once a week in the summer, we assemble meals and pack lunches for the Summer Meals for Kids program. This program provides daily lunches throughout the summer to 300 kids in need in our community!

Our History
2007
From His Hands began serving meals to families in the Grove community.
2009
From His Hands program grew to serve hungry and homeless families at a motel in the Williamsburg community.
2022
From His Hands serves over 8,900 meals a year and has expanded service to eight motels and the Grove community.
2016
From His Hands expanded to serve families in three Williamsburg Motels as well as families in the Grove community.
